15:20 Goodwood

This looks a competitive 0-100 handicap but preference goes to last year’s winner AGGAGIO (best priced at 9/1). The Gary Moore trained five-year-old has a brilliant record at Goodwood with form figures of 111212562 in his career including a victory in this race off a mark of 84 last season when he beat the reopposing Earlofthecotswolds by ½ length.

Aggagio was only beaten 2 ¾ lengths by subsequent Ascot Gold Cup winner Courage Mon Ami here earlier this season before finishing 2nd over this course and distance last time off a mark of 86. The handicapper has left him unchanged off that mark and he be involved in the finish.

Aggagio - 0.5pts e/w

16:10 Bangor

The Donald McCain trained CHOIRMASTER (best priced at 2/1) won for the first time over hurdles last month and he should hold strong claims off only a 6lb higher mark. The four-year-old has consistent form figures in handicaps of 223F1 and he should be able to build on his recent ¾ length victory.

Connections fit Choirmaster with first time cheekpieces for this race and he should prove hard to beat with Brian Hughes on board once again.

Choirmaster - 1pt

Both Blue Antares and EDWINA SHEERAN (best priced at 3/1) have been running consistently well this season but preference goes to the latter who is a two-time course and distance winner. The Roger Fell & Sean Murray trained three-year-old has won off marks of 53 and 57 so far this season including when beating Blue Antares by 1 ½ lengths in July.

Edwina Sheeran has placed at both Leicester and Thirsk on her previous two starts and should hold strong claims off a mark of 63 in this race. Tom Marquand takes over on board for the first time which is a positive and she should prove hard to beat.
