Following a 3/1 winner, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
15:15 Newton Abbot
If ALL THE GLORY (best priced at 3/1) runs up to her mark of 121 then she should prove hard to beat with her sex allowance. The Jonjo O’Neill trained six-year-old has been running consistently well so far this year with form figures of 32112 including victories at Hexham and Market Rasen in novice hurdles.
All The Glory was a beaten odds on favourite last time at Stratford in a three-runner race but that wouldn’t have suited her tactically and she is expected to get back to winning ways up in trip to 2m2½f in this race. She receives weight from both The Galahad Kid (rated 112) and Way Out (rated 116) so she should prove hard to beat if running up to her rating of 121.
17:00 Newton Abbot
This is a weak 0-105 handicap with only SADDLERS QUEST (best priced at 7/4) having run well on their previous starts. The Debra Hamer trained nine-year-old got off the mark on her penultimate start at Uttoxeter off a mark of 74 before defying a 6lb rise to win by a head over this course and distance.
Saddlers Quest beat Isabella Bee by a head that day but the pair pulled 4 ¾ lengths of the third so a 6lb rise seems fair and this looks a much weaker contest on paper. Joe Anderson once again claims 5lbs and she should prove hard to beat.
17:15 Brighton
This looks a competitive 0-62 handicap but preference goes to SECRET HANDSHEIKH (best priced at 2/1) who has shown consistent form at Brighton. The John Gallagher trained five-year-old has form figures of 2312 here in his career including a course and distance victory in April off a mark of 65. The gelding has since finished a neck 2nd at Yarmouth off a mark of 63 and a neck 2nd over this course and distance last time off a mark of 64 a week ago.
Secret Handsheikh runs here off the same mark of 64 and looks sure to be involved in the finish with that proven course and distance form.
