Leg 1 Selections: Marcello Si, Toscan Genius, Great Colaci

Michael Dods' only runner on the card, MARCELLA SI, will be partnered by Graham Lee and his two previous efforts here over a mile and two furlongs off a mark of 55 were decent. He should be competitive off a 6Ib lower over this longer distance.

Ben Robinson has a good strike-rate here and he rides recent course-and-distance winner TOSCAN GENIUS, while veteran of the party, GREAT COLACI, has seven course wins to his name and is feared under Joe Fanning.

Leg 2 Selections: The Hun, Lightning Leo

Karl Burke and Clifford Lee have been in great form this past fortnight and THE HUN could take a bit of beating in the second race. He ran a tidy race at Ripon on debut when second and should be more streetwise now with that run under his belt tackling this longer trip.

Of the remainder, Archie Watson’s LIGHTNING LEO has been highly tried since winning on debut at Yarmouth, contesting three consecutive Listed events, and is a realistic challenger in these much calmer waters on what will be his all-weather debut under Hollie Doyle.

Leg 3 Selections: Balqaa, Oscar Doodle, We Still Believe

A good opportunity for swift compensation has arisen for five-year-old BALQAA who was unlucky to be mugged on the line over course-and-distance last time having initially been denied a clear passage when travelling really well. She has a great chance of enhancing her fine record at this venue.

OSCAR DOODLE has been in fine fettle this year, winning three times, and this dual course winner returned to winning ways at Chelmsford last month. He has to make the shortlist as he should make a bold bid, while WE STILL BELIEVE, another course-and-distance winner, should also go well.

Leg 4 Selections: Hooray For Hazel, Arizona Desert

HOORAY FOR HAZEL took very well to the all-weather at this course last time, where she stayed on strongly in the closing stages to only be beaten around three lengths into fourth and the extra furlong today could unlock improvement. She’s the persuasive option in this weak race.

ARIZONA DESERT could advance her form on stable debut for her new yard on handicap debut. She had previously shown promise in each of her three starts and her two third-place efforts have worked out well. She’s of interest with Owen Lewis offsetting a handy 7Ib

Leg 5 Selections: Dianara, Nasneen

DIANARA turned in a promising first effort when fourth in a newcomer's race at Deauville last month and she should be able to build on that here with room for improvement.

NASNEEN picked up strongly once she knew her job on debut to take second and should be suited to the step up in distance. She rates the biggest danger to the former with plenty more to come.

Leg 6 Selections: Love Your Work, Sun Power

LOVE YOUR WORK was down the field when last seen which incidentally came here but he is down in grade and was second here twice last year including off a 5Ib higher mark. He should be competitive with the form to go close.

SUN POWER returned a solid second at this course 11 days ago and is very well-handicapped based on his past form in which he was rated as high as 101. All of his wins and placed efforts have been in stronger events off higher marks. He must have outstanding claims.
