With 2 wins from his last 3 PAINTERS PALETTE looks worth siding with to go in again. He ran on strongly from off the pace to win impressively at Wolverhampton last time clocking a decent time in the process. Back on turf off a 6lb higher mark if they go a good gallop I think he’ll be finishing best again. Frederick Larson was seen to good effect last time and claims a handy 3lb again.

Cockalorum isn’t getting any younger and could be vulnerable to an improver like the selection but he shouldn’t be dismissed as he was back in the winners enclosure at Hamilton last month. If running to that level again off a 3lb higher mark he could threaten. Another old boy Euchen Glen also deserves a mention as he was a really good fourth in the Ebor before blowing out last time so he is respected if bouncing back.

Things hadn’t really gone to plan for KITTYKARMA since going handicapping but she caught the eye in defeat behind Selenachorus at Leicester and improved to win at Thirsk. That was a career best last time so I’m confident she can handle a 5lb rise. She has run well at this track before so that would be a positive and with Richard Fahey hitting a good run of form she should have a favourites chance in a winnable race.

Roaring Legend was back to form after a tough ask at Goodwood to finish runner-up over C&D last time and could be the danger if building on that again. Damascus Steel won at Nottingham last month and even though he wasn’t at his best last time he wasn’t disgraced and could easily get competitive in this if back to his best.
