Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
13:15 Ayr
The Richard Spencer trained Revich (best priced at 4/1) has a good record in this race and he should hold strong claims again this year. The seven-year-old won this race off a mark of 92 in 2021 before finishing a ½ length 3rd off a mark of 95 last year. He runs in the race again off a mark of 95 this year and comes into the race in form following his 3rd placed effort at Chester last time off this mark.
Revich looks sure to run well in this race again and he should be involved in the finish under Hollie Doyle.
13:45 Catterick
The Ed Dunlop trained Lady Ava (best priced at 4/1) was hampered at the start on her handicap debut at Thirsk on Monday and she should build upon that 3rd placed effort. The daughter of New Bay ran well on her first three starts including when only beaten 1 ¾ lengths at Brighton when 3rd in July on her final qualifying run.
Connections fitted Lady Ava with first time cheekpieces for her handicap debut when she stayed on well at the end of the race to finish 3rd over 6f. This step back up in trip to 7f should suit her and she should hold strong claims of getting off the mark at the fifth attempt.

It will be interesting to see if David O’Meara runs yesterday’s Bronze Cup 2nd Cold Stare but he looks to hold strong claims regardless with stablemate Riot (best priced at 17/2). The six-year-old has a consistent record at this course with form figures of 34 at the track and he is now back down to his last winning mark.
Riot won off a mark of 80 at Doncaster in July and now races off the same mark in this race. He was only beaten 1 ¾ lengths when 5th at Haydock earlier this month and the handicapper has been quite generous dropping him 1lb for that effort. Connections fit him with a first time visor and the top weight should run well with four places available in this race.
