A return to front running tactics did the trick for TOWNSEND MANOR at Redcar last week where he ran out an impressive winner. He goes handicapping now under a 6lb penalty but should have plenty more to come on what is just his sixth start and looks the way to go as he bids to follow up.

He may face early pressure from Suicide Blonde and Tenhotfourcrazy but strictly on the clock should still be able to dominate and I don’t think they will be able to go with him early. The danger is probably Nazron who was beaten just over a length at Sandown and that form has worked out well since. Of the rest Bibendum would also be interesting at a price if managing to bounce back.
