Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Tuesday's action at Newcastle and yesterday's Placepot results from Wolverhampton.
16:55 Newcastle
Leg 1 Selections: Due Consideration, Seahorse Syd
DUE CONSIDERATION was just touched off by SEAHORSE SYD at Musselburgh in August but comprehensively reversed the form back there 10 days ago.
This will demand more but he’s going the right way and should be difficult to beat. The latter is better off at the weights, so from a form perspective, he’s the main danger.
17:30 Newcastle
Leg 2 Selections: Visitant, Churchella
A wide-open affair but VISITANT had a good record here and this dual course winner has been in excellent form this year. He was well-held in second at Thirsk last time but has course-and-distance winning form off a 17Ib higher mark and is considered. CHURCHELLA ran well when second on her all-weather debut two starts back and can get involved here.
18:00 Newcastle
Leg 3 Selections: International Law, Spirit Of Ash
Another race that has an unpredictable feeling about it but the compact all-weather form INTERNATIONAL LAW has should stand him in good stead. He is only 3Ib above his last winning mark and wasn’t beaten far here last time when a staying-on fourth off this mark.
He should be thereabouts but was behind SPIRIT OF ASH two starts ago and the latter is now unbeaten in a pair of course-and-distance outings.
18:30 Newcastle
Leg 4 Selections: Giudecca
The Sir Michael Stoute-trained GIUDECCA has been strong at the finish in making the frame in both her starts to date despite still showing signs of greenness. She is her trainer’s only runner on the card, who has an excellent 33% strike-rate at this course, and Saffie Osborne is interestingly booked to ride. She can find further improvement to open her account at the expense of Karl Burke’s Eranthis.
19:00 Newcastle
Leg 5 Selections: African Spirit, Blenheim Star
Trainer Ben Brookhouse has his only runner on the card in the shape of debutant AFRICAN SPIRIT and is operating at an impressive 38% strike-rate in the last two weeks with three winners from his last eight.
Dougie Costello takes the ride. William Knight is another trainer in good form and his BLENHEIM STAR, who had shaped with bundles of promise when fourth on debut, should go close with Ben Curtis in the saddle.
19:30 Newcastle
Leg 6 Selections: Teddy Brown, Bellasio
Trainer Marco Botti and jockey Hollie Doyle could hardly be in better form and they will team up with TEDDY BROWN. He is likely to attract plenty of support in the market and can be featured on the shortlist. BELLASIO for the Grant Tuer team is another to consider in what is a difficult race to assess.
