Silver Atom pulled off a 50/1 shock when winning last time out at Bath and the one-time hurdler could have some say in the final result if he can repeat that level on the all-weather. Visitant is the only C&D winner in this field but was a distant second at Thirsk latest and needs to do more, leaving GEELONG as the likelier winner. He strolled home last week by over six lengths at Kempton, and a 5lb penalty seems unlikely to stop him.

Spirit Of Ash needs a career best off this rating but her only two wins were over this C&D, and she is yet to taste defeat at the track. She can go well again after winning narrowly earlier in the month, but GOBLET OF FIRE may have her measure. Nigel Tinkler's gelding has won three of his last four starts on grass with two over this trip and, if he can repeat that on this surface, he could prove hard to beat. We Still Believe and International Law are others to note.

GIUDECCA has twice shown shown ability and this half-sister to Integral, a Group 1 winner for this yard, is presented with a good opportunity to make it third-time lucky as she gains more experience. Also related to a winner on synthetics, switching to this surface isn't expected to pose any issues for Sir Michael Stoute's filly and, with Saffie Osborne booked, everything is in place for a big run. Irish raider Miss Black Jack is feared most, with well-bred newcomer Cocktail Dress also considered.

BLENHEIM STAR showed up well on her debut at Lingfield 27 days ago and, having overcome a slow start to finish with a rattle to get up for a very close fourth, she is an appealing option with that experience to draw upon. Arantes Nascimento took a step forward from his debut with an improved effort at Musselburgh and enters calculations as another potential improver, while Ribble River is introduced at a realistic level.

Those with previous experience don't set the bar very high, so it may be more rewarding to focus on the five newcomers, with YOKOHAMA suggested as the first one to note. A half-brother to five winners, including Questioning, who won the Group 3 Earl Of Sefton, this trip is a good starting point. Sweet Talkin Sue is next on the shortlist, followed by Mickley and Bellasio.

Revolucion caught the eye staying on for third in a similar event a Lingfield last month and further 1lb drop in the ratings puts him very much in contention, but he remains a maiden after 12 starts and preference is for RHYTHM. A dual C&D winner, he has slipped to a 3lb lower mark than the latest of those victories in April and gets a welcome drop in class after a respectable effort at Pontefract last week. Dream Together has also dropped to a workable rating and he's another worthy of consideration.

Whatwouldyouknow's last two victories came over this C&D and he only found one too good off a 1lb lower mark here last time out, but that was in January and the match-fit URBAN ROAD could prove too strong here. Alan Brown's four-year-old ran out an easy winner over this track and trip in July and a repeat of that performance can see him defy a 6lb higher mark now back on Tapeta. Bold Territories has come back down to a fair mark and the booking of the in-form Hollie Doyle catches the eye.
