I have been waiting to see DASHING PANTHER again as he has bumped into a couple of progressive types the last twice and should have plenty more to come off a mark of just 70. He bumped into Alhambra Palace when runner-up at Ascot back in July and that horse won a good race at Sandown next time out before running creditably at York and again at Nottingham earlier in the week.
The form stacks up and this son of Slade Power should be able to get back to winning ways now. Rogue Tornado looks the obvious danger as he won with plenty in hand over C&D before bumping into the progressive Manxman up in trip at Salisbury. He is unexposed and should make a race of it. Myboymax best of the rest but likely up against it and not much strength in depth.

Things haven’t gone to plan for MARIE LAVEAU the last twice but she is still armed with tons of potential. She was really well backed on reappearance at Salisbury but missed the break and then ran green in rear being denied a run several times. That was a race to draw a line through but again she suffered a luckless run back in trip at Chepstow.
She was held up and had to switch a few times to see daylight before running on. Back up in trip racing off the same mark I’ll be very surprised if she doesn’t win. She should be well ahead of her mark and is clearly the one to beat. Sonnet Star is a good looking filly who has improved with every run and if stepping forward again should put up the most resistance. Barrel Aged is another one to note despite the layoff.
