Following a 5/2 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
14:15 Epsom
This looks a competitive 0-80 nursery handicap but Rednblue Sovereign (best priced at 12/1) looks overpriced given his proven course form. The Tom Dascombe trained two-year-old outran odds of 80/1 to finish 6th in the Woodcote Stakes on only his second start before winning a novice race over this course and distance on his penultimate start.
Rednblue Sovereigns disappointed in a Class 2 Nursery at York last time but this drop down to Class 4 company will make things a lot easier. The return to Epsom is a positive and he should run well off top weight.
14:40 Tipperary
Insineundo is respected dropped down to listed level but Natalia Lupini’s stable start Dunum (best priced at 5/2) has the opposite profile and is deserving of a chance at this level. The five-year-old has been in consistently good form in handicaps this season and has progressed from a mark of 82 up to an official rating of 103.
Dunum won at Galway in August off a mark of 95 before finishing 2nd to Broadhurst at Leopardstown last time off a mark of 101. He is deserving of his rating of 103 and he should strong claims in this race with Seamie Heffernan taking over on board.
17:45 Epsom
Four-time course and distance winner Marlay Park (best priced at 3/1) always deserves respect at this track and he should be involved in the finish once again. The Jim Boyle trained five-year-old has form figures of 2213215213441 at the track in his career with his latest victory coming off a mark of 79 seventeen days ago.
The handicapper has raised Marlay Park 4lbs for that victory which is fair and he should hold strong claims once again with Paddy Bradley claiming a handy 3lbs again.
