GYTO's Tuesday Notebook Double pays 12/1.

The likeable STAR START has won two of his last three now and asserted in good style in the closing stages at Beverley last month. That was an apprentice event so he avoids a penalty and if in the same form with William Pyle claiming 5lb he should take a lot of beating.
Ayr Poet loves this track having won here five times now and he has to be feared as he has won three of his last six starts but a mark of 68 could still be a bit of a tough ask and he isn’t getting any younger. Montevideo was flattered by the proximity to the winner at Lingfield last month but now handicapping could still improve again so has to enter calculations as well.

With Super Schwartz a non runner in this it looks a great chance for PINPOINT to get his head back in front. This Due Diligence colt impressed to win on handicap debut at Bath back in August and while he has been beaten three times since he has held his form notably well and dropping back to the minimum trip could see him back to his best.
I think he has decent potential to rate a fair bit higher than a mark of just 61 and I can see him being well backed. Amroon was a good second on handicap debut at Southwell last month and with natural progression should emerge as the danger. I did think he was a little one paced late on though so might need more.
