14:50 Catterick

Both Scoops Ahoy and Lotting’s Lass arrive in winning form but it may be worth taking a chance on the outsider of the field JUNGLE JEAN (bet priced at 10/1) on her handicap debut. The Katie Scott trained filly has been keen during her three races over 6f in her career so far with her best performance coming on turf at Carlisle on her second start when only beaten two lengths.

Jungle Jean has been given an opening mark of 64 for her handicap debut but crucially she now drops down to 5f for the first time. This is the first ride for the yard for Hollie Doyle which is extremely eyecatching and she should outrun her odds.

Jungle Jean - 0.5pts e/w

16:12 Nottingham

This looks an open 0-55 handicap and preference goes to handicap debutant GREY DAZE (best priced at 6/1) on his stable debut for Alice Haynes. The three-year-old ran poorly in three maiden races at Dundalk when trained in Ireland by Adrian Murray but outran odds of 250/1 to finish 4th at Navan on his latest start in August.

Grey Daze now makes his handicap debut off a mark of 55 but has also been gelded and is fitted with first time blinkers for this race. A much better performance is expected on his stable debut and he looks worth backing off top weight.

Grey Daze - 1pt

20:30 Kempton

Both Suanni and Lion Ring are ‘well in’ at the weights but preference instead goes to GHERKIN (best priced at 5/1) despite his wide draw. The Stuart Kittow trained six-year-old has good form figures over this course and distance of 2211433 including victories off marks of 53 and 58. He finished 3rd at Bath on his penultimate start off a mark of 56 before disappointing when sent off co-favourite at Bath last time.

This return to Kempton will suit Gherkin and he is now well handicapped on his previous AW form. Oisin Murphy is a positive booking and he should run well with four places on offer.

Gherkin - 0.5pts e/w
