Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action, with runners at Salisbury & Chelmsford.
15:57 Salisbury
This looks a competitive conditions race but preference goes to SOLAR ACLAIM (best priced at 9/4) who overcame greenness to make a winning debut over this course and distance. The Roger Teal trained gelding was sent off a relatively unfancied 14/1 shot that day but he stayed on well late on to win by a neck despite having to wait for room 2f out.
Solar Aclaim beat the more experienced pair Debora’s Dream and Pressure’s On that day and given the yards profile, he can be expected to take a huge step forward from that debut effort. George Rooke retains the ride and he is expected to remain unbeaten.
17:02 Salisbury
The Kevin Philippart De Foy trained BINT AL DAAR (best priced at 3/1) was only beaten a head at Nottingham a week ago and she should prove hard to beat off the same mark. The three-year-old filly won at Newmarket earlier this season before finishing a close 3rd at Sandown. She finished 2nd by a head at Nottingham last time on soft ground off a mark of 72 and she should hold strong claims off the same mark.
The handicapper has raised Bint Al Daar 3lbs for that effort but she instead runs here off a mark of 72 and she should prove hard to beat with Oisin Murphy taking over on board.
19:00 Chelmsford
Both last time out winners Valkyrian and Lethal Touch are respected but a chance is taken on MOUNTAIN FLOWER (best priced at 8/1) on her handicap debut. The Charles Hill trained filly outran odds of 20/1 to finish 4th at Doncaster on her debut over 7f before disappointing at Kempton over a mile on her next start. She ran a lot better last time to finish 3rd over a mile at Kempton last time despite being sent off 80/1 and she now makes her handicap debut off an opening mark of 67.
Mountain Flower shapes likes this step up in trip to 1m2f should suit her well and she looks overpriced on her handicap debut with four places on offer.
