It is still early days for the well bred STARLORE and the drop back to 6f could easily see him improve again. He won on debut at Sandown and then just raced too keenly the only fourth at that venue last time. He is a lot better than that and if bouncing back could easily be the one to beat. There should be a lot of pace on from the likes of Esquire and Almarada Prince and if Kingscote keeps him covered up he should be able to pick them off in the closing stages.

Purosangue has finished runner-up the last three times and was only beaten a length at Ayr last time so looks the danger. Serried Ranks is another one progressing with experience and he could also get involved if suited by the trip again.

Things didn’t always work out for DATSALRIGHTGINO over fences last term but he looked promising enough and that win at Ayr back in April was impressive. He stayed on strongly and won despite mistakes. He clearly has a decent engine and if his jumping improves he could easily still be capable off his current mark.

Final Orders stepped forward to make it two wins from his last three at Bellewstown and now back over fences with fitness on side he must enter calculations. Garincha has been well placed and was convincing at Ffos Las last time winning by six lengths. He is also respected but this does look a decent race to contest on his reappearance. Al Dancer can fire fresh and is another one that cannot be ruled out.
