Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Friday's action at Newmarket and yesterday's Placepot results from York.

Leg 1 Selections: Arabic Legend, Ancient Wisdom
ARABIC LEGEND made a winning debut on the July course and took a step forward despite still looking quite raw when second in a Listed event at Salisbury. He is sure to progress and can go well, while ANCIENT WISDOM won his first two starts before only finishing third behind Rosallion at Ascot. That form is strong given the winner has subsequently won a Group 1 in France, so this expensive son of Dubawi is the one to beat.

Leg 2 Selections: Indian Run, Iberian
City Of Troy is unbeaten in two starts and could blow these away if the market is correct after blowing away his rivals on the July course in a Group 2. However, he is taking on deep opponents and INDIAN RUN could go well at a price who impressed at York last time. He is a smooth traveller with a turn of foot and could represent some value. IBERIAN easily beat subsequent Group 1 winner Rosallion last time and won’t go down without a fight.

Leg 3 Selections: Pied Piper, Jesse Evans, Tashkhan, Grand Providence
PIED PIPER ran a good race when fifth in last year's Ascot Stakes and this has clearly been the target after a reappearance third. He has to go on the shortlist with Ryan Moore booked to do the job. JESSE EVANS ran with credit when fourth of 30 in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh last month and Noel Meade’s charge must have excellent place claims at least if his stamina holds out.
Top-weight TASHKHAN will love the ground, who won at Chester last time and has predominantly held his form well in various Group events, while the consistent GRAND PROVIDENCE is in receipt of weight from all rivals under Hayley Turner.

Leg 4 Selections: Arabian Crown
It is difficult to see past Charlie Appleby’s ARABIAN CROWN in this race, who made it two wins from three starts when scoring in a Listed race at Salisbury last time and should have even more to offer over this longer distance. He is up against a couple of interesting debutant winners but has the best form in the book and it would come as a shock if he wasn’t in the frame at the very least. He is a confident Placepot choice.

Leg 5 Selections: Spirit Dancer, Raadobarg
SPIRIT DANCER has won his last three starts and while the anticipated deep ground isn’t necessarily in his favour, he is progressing at a rate of knots and should go well. RAADOBARG is a reliable customer who goes well in the mud and is unbeaten in two starts on heavy ground as well. Ryan Moore takes the ride and he should be extremely competitive with plenty in his favour. I’m pretty optimistic we have the winner out of these two picks.

Leg 6 Selections: Kingdom Of Riches
KINGDOM OF RICHES pulled too hard when only fifth in a Listed event at Doncaster last time but this is easier and a high draw number is probably the best place to be. He is worth another chance and retains potential to rank higher. He can get back on track and run a huge race.
