CHICAGO CRITIC shaped nicely on his debut here last month and can step forward to open his account now. The Night Of Thunder colt stayed on to finish third to Bluedrum in a newcomers race over seven and going another furlong looks like it can only help. All eyes were on Gallantly in that race last month but he disappointed when finishing only seventh. The Frankel colt may be capable of improving off that run and it would be no surprise if he was a lot closer now. Aidan O'Brien also saddles Kingman newcomer Chemistry, who wears blinkers for his debut. He is a half-brother to a Listed winner in France but holds a sales entry towards the end of the month which wouldn't be encouraging.Prediction : 1st Chicago Critic 2nd Gallantly 3rd Chemistry

BALLSBRIDGE shaped with promise on his sole start at Navan back in late March and can make a winning return. The Lord Kanaloa colt was easy to back then but came to challenge two furlongs out before fading a touch late on in very testing conditions. That looked like a stronger maiden than today's and he doesn't need to improve much to collect now. Nakassama sets the standard off a mark of 75 but after a couple of good efforts on his first two runs he disappointed last time and needs to bounce back. Mooretown Lad is an interesting newcomer for Michael O'Callaghan. The Footstepsinthesand gelding is a full-brother to a classy performer I Am Superman, a dual Group 2 winner in Australia.Prediction : 1st Ballsbridge 2nd Nakassama 3rd Mooretown Lad

EMPEROR OF ROME ran in first-time blinkers on recent reappearance but ran sufficiently well to suggest he can better 78. That Curragh winner has subsequently scored at Listed level and while he has less ability, is proven on easy ground, likes this distance and can progress, being lightly-raced. Gloucester won well at Fairyhouse (Gold Coast Galleon finished third and ran well subsequently) and while raised 9lb, has form on easy ground. Back Down Under is 2lb out of the handicap but is ridden by a 7lb claimer and debuts in handicaps. She met trouble in-running at Down Royal and, in April, showed form on testing ground. She beat a below-par Clarita by three lengths in July but Clarita recently returned to form in a valuable sales race. Jalaybee has been gelded since his last run and has soft-ground maiden form while Ocean Baroque is 5lb higher than when winning at Cork. Reasonably exposed Carnegie Hall runs in first-time cheekpieces while Gandolfo and Perfect Judgement debut in handicaps. Glamorously beat Dramatic Entrance recently and the pair compete, respectively, from 1lb and 6lb out of the handicap.Prediction : 1st Emperor Of Rome 2nd Gloucester 3rd Back Down Under

THUNDERBEAR is a progressive three-year-old who revels in testing conditions. He has contested competitive races this year, taking in Royal Ascot and being beaten by subsequent Group 1 winner Moss Tucker, and recently won at Newbury. He beat today's rival Big Gossey by just a half-length at the Curragh in August and while 9lb worse off (with a 5lb penalty and the meeting of weight-for-age), seems to have progressed. Big Gossey was probably unsuited by the all-weather on a recent run but is dependable on easy ground, although is vulnerable to the progressing three-years-younger selection. Coachello has form on easy ground but has been well beaten recently while Tango Flare's form in on a sound surface. Ma Eyes Adore You has been placed twice at Listed level while Amazon Lady will be chasing black type. Swift Flight revels in testing ground but needs to improve.Prediction : 1st Thunderbear 2nd Big Gossey 3rd Coachello

STAG NIGHT wasn't seen for over a year after winning a Curragh handicap off 90 in the early part of last season and has been lightly campaigned this term. He shaped well when not beaten far on soft ground at Listowel last month and is well handicapped with the drop back to 6f likely to suit. Three times a winner in Pattern company, Gustavus Weston is not up to that level any more but Joe Murphy's good servant has come back to form lately off a much reduced mark and can reverse 5f Curragh placings with Tawaazon who was registering a sixth win of the campaign. Heavenly Power has a good record on soft ground and the recent Navan winner can fare best of Eddie Lynam's three runners. Prediction : 1st Stag Night 2nd Gustavus Weston 3rd Heavenly Power

CAVALLO PAZZO has been notably strong in the market for all his starts since joining Joseph O'Brien earlier in the season and showed he had the stamina for this trip when winning at Down Royal last month. He has taken a big hike in the ratings and is into a much higher grade but may be able to progress again with ground conditions likely to be suitable. Joe Masseria won over this trip at Cork in the spring and ran well over a mile at the Galway Festival. He needs to bounce back to form but is another who will enjoy plenty of give in the ground. San Aer has a good record at this time of year and indicated a return to form when only beaten a length on his penultimate start at Galway. He has dropped below his last winning mark and could go well off a light weight.Prediction : 1st Cavallo Pazzo 2nd Joe Masseria 3rd San Aer

HASIYNA was third to a subsequent Listed winner at Sligo in the spring and, after five months off, filled the same spot at Bellewstown when half a length behind Beauty Bella. With a recent run under her belt, she can reverse form with that more exposed rival and take this finale. Quantum Light was placed twice in handicap company at the Galway festival and wasn't beaten far last time at Bellewstown. Back in maiden company with new headgear fitted, she won't be far away. Queenie St Clair has proved worthy of her mark in handicaps and goes well on testing ground. Denied a clear run at Down Royal last time, she is another that merits respect. Al Yasat showed promise at Cork in April but hasn't been seen since and may just need the run. Prediction : 1st Hasiyna 2nd Quantum Light 3rd Queenie St Clair
