I’m surprised SPITFIRE GIRL has been a bit weak in the betting as she ended last campaign with a win over hurdles at Taunton and has a fair bit of potential now sent over a fence. The yard have started well and William Featherstone has been booked to claim a handy 10lb off her back. I know we haven’t seen her since March so fitness is taken on trust but this looks winnable and she ought to go close.

Kym Eyre got her head back in front at Newton Abbot a couple of weeks ago and back chasing could be the danger with confidence high. Of the rest top-weight Trapista is also noted albeit she has become expensive to follow and doesn’t seem to find a great deal off the bridle.

I have to admit I didn’t think KING CUAN would be as short as he is for this but his chance is obvious. He was a big eye-catcher when a close fourth on debut and has done nothing but improve since winning his last two impressively. He travelled like a dream again over 6f here last time and kept on strongly in the closing stages. He has more to come stepping up to 7f and should be able to complete the hat-trick now.

Zoffany filly Uluru made an impressive start winning by nearly five lengths on debut and she could emerge as the danger on debut for her new yard. Megarry has more experience to draw upon and has won two of his last three as well so is definitely another one to note in here.
