The way KITESURFER came there strongly before the last and then jumped it slick at Vichy was impressive. He crossed the line full of running so it is no surprise Jamie Snowden was keen to get this hands on him. He disappointed on sole start for Harry Whittington in a novice hurdle at Kempton back in April but he just looked like he needed the experience and got outpaced.

I expect him to have improved since and now handicapping should make a big impact at this level. He is very much the unexposed quantity in the race so 6/1 could seem big. Mamoon Star has some strong form to his name so he could be the danger but don’t rule out Inca De Lafayette either who could improve again following a wind op.
