No surprise to see Seamie Heffernan pick GROSVENOR SQUARE here as this Galileo colt was impressive winning at Galway on debut and then did little wrong in defeat when third at the Curragh last month. That was a good race and it has already started working out well with the runner-up Chief Little Rock chasing home the exciting Ancient Wisdom at Newmarket last weekend. The selection should relish this extra furlong and he looks the most likely winner. Naval Force impressed winning on debut for Donnacha O’Brien so could threaten if improving but a stablemate to the fav Cambridge also has to be respected after prevailing narrowly at Salisbury with the front pair nicely clear.

Despite hanging left WEN MOON was good value for that win at York last time and if in similar form he will take a lot of stopping up 6lb here. He had run huge on his previous two starts so that victory was thoroughly deserved. Jonny Peate claimed 3lb last time and does so again here and looks good value for it. He has a decent draw in 11 and the market support is coming. Vintage Clarets beat the selection a neck last time and up 3lb looks the obvious danger. I think the pair will battle this one out. Manila Scouse has won over C&D in the past and hasn’t been running badly so is another one in with a chance.
