Steve Ryder is back with five tips for today's action.
13:50 Ascot
Last year’s winner Kinross holds strong claims again this year but at the prices it looks worth taking a chance on Sandrine (best priced at 11/1) who has been revitalised by the application of a visor on her previous two starts. The Andrew Balding trained filly was only beaten a length by Kinross in the Group 2 City Of York Stakes over7f on her penultimate start before getting back to winning ways last time at Doncaster in the Group 2 Park Stakes over 7f.
Sandrine won the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot on heavy ground over 6f as a two-year-old so these conditions won’t inconvenience her and she is well drawn in Stall 15 under Oisin Murphy. Bookmakers are offering four places on this race and she looks sure to hold strong each way claims.
15:01 Leopardstown
The Aidan O’Brien trained Military (best priced at 15/8) jailed to justify favouritism in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket last time but even a repeat of that effort could be good enough to win this race. The Siyouni colt won a Naas maiden over 6f on his debut in impressive style by 2 ¾ lengths before finishing 4th at Newmarket when upped in trip to 7f.
The form of that Newmarket race has been boosted with the winner Alyanaabi finishing 2nd in the Dewhurst behind City Of Troy and the 3rd Eben Shaddad finishing 3rd in the same race. Military faces the 101 rated Atlantic Coast so it looks a strong race but I will be disappointed if Military cannot get back to winning ways.

Aldaary won this as a three-year-old in 2021 and I am hoping that the classic generation can win it again this year with Dancing Magic (best priced at 18/1) on his handicap debut. The Roger Teal trained colt is still maiden in his career but has run well behind the likes of Naval Power in a listed race, Auguste Rodin in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes and Indestructible in the Craven Stakes on his reappearance.
Dancing Magic makes his handicap debut in this race off a mark of 98 and he has also had a wind operation since his run last time in August. He should run well with up to six places on offer with Oisin Murphy on board for the first time.
16:50 Wolverhampton
This looks a weak 0-60 handicap but preference goes to Waleyfa (best priced at 10/3) who has an unbeaten record on the AW since joining the Alice Haynes yard. The five-year-old won on her stable debut at Lingfield off a mark of 48 before following up at both Chelmsford and Wolverhampton off marks of 54 and 59 respectively. She has been disappointing at Bath, Yarmouth and Chester on turf for her new trainer but looks worth backing returning to the AW.
Waleyfa is only 1lb higher than her course and distance success in May so she is competitively handicapped and should prove hard to beat.
16:55 Catterick
The soft ground is a slight question mark for Valley Of Flowers (best priced at 4/1) but she is in the form of her career and can hopefully complete a four-timer. The Jacqueline Coward trained five-year-old won by two lengths at Ayr off a mark of 55 before following up with a 4 ¾ length success at Catterick off a mark of 60. She continued her good form with a four length victory at Newcastle on the AW last time off a mark of 65 and is deserving of her new mark of 71.
Valley Of Flowers steps up in grade to Class 4 company but she looks worth backing until she is beaten.
