INDEEVAR BLEU made quite the impression when scooting clear to land a bumper on his debut at Wetherby in March and he has the potential to be a smart sort for the Olly Murphy stable. Conditions may be different on this occasion, but she should be able to score on his hurdles bow, with C&D runner-up Hiero Sport looking best placed to chase him home. An average performer on the level, Daaris should be noted for market support on his Rules debut. Prediction : 1st Indeevar Bleu 2nd Hiero Sport 3rd Daaris

Saladam is bound to be popular after a taking success over C&D in May, but a 7lb penalty makes life more difficult and preference, instead, is for THE DOYEN CHIEF. A comfortable winner of a bumper at Hereford, Alan King's charge should have no problem with the step up in trip being a point-to-point winner and a bold bid is expected. Vincenzo improved from his first to second start when runner-up at Chepstow in April and he must also enter calculations on his hurdles bow. Prediction : 1st The Doyen Chief 2nd Saladam 3rd Vincenzo

This can go the way of PRAIRIE WOLF, who arrives with the advantage of race-fitness after making a highly-encouraging return to action when runner-up at Warwick earlier in the month. Sue Smith's charge remains on a workable mark and he is preferred to course winner Ilanz and Hourvari, who scored here in March and could be feasibly treated on his handicap debut. Prediction : 1st Prairie Wolf 2nd Hourvari 3rd Ilanz

BLUE BIKINI was in fine fettle at the end of last season and at the beginning of the new campaign in May, when making it three victories from her last four starts at Warwick. The step up in trip is likely to see the seven-year-old progress even further and she gets the vote to continue her excellent run of form. Seefin ran out a comfortable winner at Uttoxeter on his handicap bow and he is expected to be in the mix, despite a 10lb rise. Woodie Flash and Hillfinch are others to consider.Prediction : 1st Blue Bikini 2nd Seefin 3rd Woodie Flash

Datsalrightgino was a useful novice chaser last season and bounced back from an excusable display at the Cheltenham Festival when scoring at Ayr. However, a 5lb rise and the weather forecast temper enthusiasm, especially with his best efforts coming on a sounder surface. Shan Blue hasn't looked the same since falling in the 2021 Charlie Hall, but a smaller field in a less competitive event may rekindle the enthusiasm. Sam Thomas made a terrific start to his season when all three of his runners at Chepstow last weekend won and it would be an excellent feat if his ANGELS BREATH could return to winning ways. He suffered a nasty injury when winning a novice chase at Ascot in December 2019 and it took the best part of three years for him to see on the racecourse again. The nine-year-old built on his return at Kempton when runner-up at Chepstow in April and the fact connections have had a clear run with him augurs well for his prospects.Prediction : 1st Angels Breath 2nd Shan Blue 3rd Datsalrightgino

FOXEY won more comfortably than the already sizeable seven lengths winning distance would suggest over the extended 2m2f at Newton Abbot earlier this month and he can get off the mark at the first time of asking over the larger obstacles. Olly Murphy's charge will have a fitness edge over many of these rivals such as Kankin, who returns to the track after a 161-day absence but is expected to be seen to better effect now tried over fences. Hokelami is also worthy of a closer look. Prediction : 1st Foxey 2nd Kankin 3rd Hokelami

MARIA'S FLAME is related to some smart performers such as All Set To Go, who was useful over 2m over jumps, and she is fancied to get off the mark at the first time of asking. She represents ar Fergal O'Brien stable with a good record in bumpers and makes plenty of appeal. Clap Of Thunder rates as the biggest danger to the selection for the in-form Nigel Twiston-Davies yard, while Bobacious is another to note. Prediction : 1st Marias Flame 2nd Clap Of Thunder 3rd Bobacious
