Leg 1 Selections: Latin Verse, Outgun, Mojo Ego
Trainer Milton Harris is very fond with this race having won it two years ago with Knight Salute and he could be set to win it again, this time with LATIN VERSE. A decent Flat horse when trained by Ralph Beckett, he would have made a successful hurdles debut at Sedgefield had he not made a bad mistake at the last.
With room for improvement though, especially in the jumping department, he could easily go one better. Alan King has also done well in this race in the past and his hurdles debutant OUTGUN, who placed several times on the Flat, merits consideration. MOJO EGO is of interest on debut for Harry Derham and could be up to making a successful start to his hurdles career.

Leg 2 Selections: Non Stop, Arclight
NON STOP didn’t really respect hurdles but still managed to win twice and although he ended last season on a low-note, he could go well on his chase debut off bottom-weight.
ARCLIGHT was highly-tried over hurdles after winning his first couple of starts in that sphere and was second in a Listed event. He could turn out to be quite useful in the chasing ranks and has to be included from what is a lenient-handicap debut mark of 116.

Leg 3 Selections: Beachcomber
Jonjo O’Neill has made a positive start to the campaign with his team and I really like the chances of BEACHCOMBER here. He was highly-tried in the Champion Bumper after romping to success by 16 lengths at Chepstow and should be better for his hurdles debut fifth at Worcester. Open to major improvement, he can continue the yard’s great form and have a major impact in the outcome.

Leg 4 Selections: Jay Jay Reilly
This is an open-looking contest but the top-weight JAY JAY REILLY has some of the best form on offer in the field and might prove capable of making a winning reappearance. The seven-year-old has tasted success twice at this course and was last seen finishing second over course-and-distance. He has a big weight to carry but is open to improvement and should be competitive.

Leg 5 Selections: Sceau Royal, Rubaud
A strong-line up for this Listed race. SCEAU ROYAL is the class act in the field and has a good record fresh 21116111. He took this race twelve months ago on his return and should make another bold bid to extend his fine strike-rate. RUBAUD won a pair of Grade 2 events earlier this year and even though he has a bit to find on ratings with his two market rivals, he is going the right way and should go well.

Leg 6 Selections: Riskintheground
RISKINTHEGROUND was brought down through no fault of his own on chase debut at Warwick and is worth another chance to gain compensation with a clear round this time. The assessor has left him on the same mark for this contest and he should run well. The step up to three miles is a positive move too.
