Ali Star Bert could also get involved, but a chance is taken on TOMMYDAN. The eight-year-old won over 3m at Hexham a couple of weeks ago and a 4lb rise for that success appears to be fair.

With improvement expected, he can get the better of the Newcastle runner-up Five Dollar Fine, as well as Easter Junction, who was still in contention when unseating two out at Bangor-on-Dee earlier in the month.

However, Rebecca Menzies' gelding may be worth taking on now upped in class with IMPULSIVE ONE. The five-year-old has undergone a wind procedure since an unsuccessful spell over fences and returns to this sphere off a handy mark. Gordons Aura is a potential improver now upped in distance and he could have a say too.

Cairo King is the only one with experience under Rules, having finished third in a bumper at Stratford in August, but Jamie Snowden's gelding may prove vulnerable once more. Vision De Maine boasts a similar profile and is feared most.
