This looks a great opportunity for Kingman colt SEA THE THUNDER to get off the mark. He ran no race on fast ground on debut at Ascot but quickly left that behind on a softer surface going down just a neck at Salisbury at the start of the month. The step up to a mile and a quarter will be ideal and if he improves he should have a great chance of getting in the winners enclosure. Sea The Moon colt Palace Green could be the biggest danger. He was only beaten a length at Bath last time and with that experience under his belt can give the selection most to think about. Debutant Tribal Star is worth a market check as well.

Frankel colt JEFF KOONS has done little wrong since winning at Newmarket back in July following up that neck defeat over 1m2f at Ascot with a nose defeat back down to a mile last time only missing out on the bob. His form over a mile reads 212 so I do think it is his optimum trip for now and with a bit more luck he should be able to get back to winning ways. Back in a handicap off a 4lb higher mark he appeals as the most likely winner. Rhythm N Rock was only beaten a length at Haydock and has won over C&D in the past so looks the danger but don’t rule out another big run from Revich who won at Ayr last time.
