Spitfire Girl has the benefit of a recent run over KESTRAL VALLEY (best priced at 2/1) but the latter should prove hard to beat on her stable debut for Nigel Twiston- Davies. The nine-year-old won her two starts for Kerry Lee in March when victorious by 3 ¼ length and 34 lengths and despite now being off a 17lb higher mark, she could still prove well handicapped off this new mark of 104.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies stable are in fantastic form at present operating at a 35% strike rate so fitness shouldn’t be an issue and she is expected to defy a 214 day absence.

Stall 9 is a slight negative for ABBEY'S DREAM (best priced at 6/1) but she has improved since the application of cheekpieces and arrives in form. The Archie Watson trained three-year-old has won three times on the AW this year over 7f including over this course and distance on her penultimate start when fitted with first time cheekpieces. That victory came off a mark of 70 before finishing 2nd by ¾ length last time at Newcastle off a mark of 72.

Abbey’s Dream runs here off only a 1lb higher mark but she should run well with four places available with Hollie Doyle retaining the ride.

STAY SMART (best priced at 4/1) won over this course and distance on his debut when trained by David O’Meara and he should hold strong claims on his stable debut for Mark Loughnane. The five-year-old won in June at Ayr off a mark of 57 and he runs here off only 2lbs higher on his return to the AW.

Given a wind operation since his last run in June, Stay Smart returns from 117 days off the track and he should prove hard to beat from Stall 4 under Billy Loughnane.
