GYTO Friday Notebook Double Pays 14/1
15:55 Cheltenham
There are some nice types lining up for this and that is hardly surprising given it has been won by the likes of Altior, Moon Racer and Slate House in the past. TOTO TOO caught my eye bolting up on debut over hurdles at Navan last month and I can see him staying on best up the hill here.
He stayed on strongly under just hands and heels the last day so will likely come into his own up in trip but this looks a good starting point and he is a horse I want to keep on side. Kamsinas also won on hurdles debut at Worcester and while he is clearly promising too I thought he looked a bit green at stages in that and this test might be coming soon enough.
19:00 Dundalk
A really good race under the lights at Dundalk on Friday and BOUTTEMONT catches the eye. This colt by Acclamation was last seen finishing down the field in the Prix de l’Abbaye but he was only beaten 4 lengths and wasn’t disgraced having been denied a run.
He had looked promising winning at Chantilly earlier in the season and given he is proven on this surface having won at Newcastle as a 4yo there is good reason to think he can capitalise on this notable drop in grade. The Highway Rat loves it here and a slow start cost him beaten a neck behind Harry’s Bar last time. If things pan out better he looks the biggest danger
