I can’t wait to see INTHEPOCKET jump a fence. He did really well over hurdles last year finishing fourth in the Supreme at Cheltenham before capping his season off with a promising win at Aintree. He goes well in testing ground so conditions look ideal and he is armed with a lot of potential.

Sandor Clegane is another one that could relish the switch to chasing and he is the main danger for me. He does often need his first start back though and might just lack fitness on this occasion especially in deep ground. JP also has Inothewayurthinkin who is another one likely to improve now jumping a fence.

After some good runs in defeat it was good to see MUMCAT back in the winners enclosure over this C&D last time. She hit the front with a furlong still to run and only had to be ridden out to see them off. The form has worked out well enough since with the runner-up He’s An Angel going close since and she should be capable of following up with just a 3lb rise to contend with.

She has top weight but this looks another winnable contest and she is the most likely winner. Bernie The Bear is hard to trust as he spurned another good opportunity last time so might be up against it off his current mark. That could leave The Gay Blade as the main danger.
