13:30 Lingfield

Irrelevant is by no means straightforward and I’m surprised he is favourite as he didn’t need to improve to win at Kempton last time. I much prefer MANOR ARRIBA who could easily take a big step forward now handicapping. He left his debut run behind to go close at Yarmouth and again ran well in defeat when fourth to Sir Gabrial at Newcastle.

A mark of 67 surely underestimates him and he looks a decent bet at 10/3 to open his account. Too Darn Hot colt Royal Tapestry also goes handicapping now and it wouldn’t surprise me if he improved enough to be the biggest danger to the selection.

17:05 Dundalk

Camelot filly FAIRYTALE PRINCESS impressed getting off the mark at Dundalk on penultimate start and despite getting turned over last time she ran a big race in defeat. She went down just half a length at the line and if she can settle better over this trip could easily be capable of an even bigger performance.

I’m confident she is the one to beat in this. Alfalfa has been busy and won at the Curragh yesterday before losing it in the stewards room. He would definitely be interesting if taking his chance but it does come soon enough. Wajaaha is a C&D winner and he ran well beaten less than a length at a big price last time so is also noted.
