This looks to be between recent runner-ups Intricate Pillar and Waleyfa (best priced at 2/1) with preference going to the latter who is previously a course and distance winner. The Alice Haynes trained five-year-old won over this course and distance in March off a mark of 48 on her stable debut having joined from Robert Stephens before winning twice in a row at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton in May off marks of 54 and 59.
Waleyfa underperformed on turf on her next two starts but bounced back to form when a neck 2nd at Wolverhampton 11 days ago off a mark of 60. The handicapper has raised her 1lb for that effort which is fair and she should prove hard to beat with a repeat effort in this race.
15:15 Fakenham
The Sam Drinkwater trained Sawpit Sienna (best priced at 5/1) won this race last season off a mark of 80 and she should hold strong claims of a repeat victory despite a 6lb higher mark this year. The eight-year-old was sent off a well backed 15/8 favourite last year in a tongue tie and cheekpieces where she won comfortably by two lengths. She won again in January at Taunton off a mark of 85 by three lengths and has slowly dropped back down to a mark of 86 for this race.
Sawpit Sienna ran without any tongue tie or cheekpieces on her reappearance at Worcester (had the same prep last year) but these are back on for this race and she should hold strong claims of repeat victory in this race.
18:45 Kempton
This looks a competitive 0-95 handicap but preference goes to Treacherous (best priced at 12/1) who looks overpriced based on his previous course form. The Ed De Giles trained nine-year-old is a seven-time course winner at Kempton including off a mark as high as 86 in the past.
Treacherous was only beaten a nose over this course and distance last month off a mark of 75 before finishing only a length behind the reopposing Gisburn on turf last time. The handicapper has raised him 1lb for that effort which means he has a 2lb swing in the weights with Gisburn and he should run well with four places available in this race.
