Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Thursday's action at Chelmsford and yesterday's Placepot results from Kempton.
17:00 Chelmsford
Leg 1 Selections: Upper Hand
UPPER HAND is the standout choice, who finished a respectable second in his first go at this grade last time and wouldn’t need to improve much more to go close to winning this race. He can hopefully come out on top.
17:30 Chelmsford
Leg 2 Selections: Graceful Mary, Sommelier
Karl Burke has had a great year and has also done brilliantly with his debutants. He might have another winner in the shape of GRACEFUL MARY who is appealing on paper. SOMMELIER finished strongly to take fourth on debut at Southwell and has a good chance with improvement on the cards.
18:00 Chelmsford
Leg 3 Selections: Neapolitan
NEAPOLITAN confirmed the promise of his debut sixth to open his account in taking fashion at Kempton and should be suited to the step up in distance. Drawn well in stall 1, he should be able to double his tally against a field who have no win to their names as of yet. He is a solid favourite and should be in the frame at the very least.
18:30 Chelmsford
Leg 4 Selections: Elusive Angel
ELUSIVE ANGEL made the frame in her first four starts and although she was below form at Yarmouth last-time-out, she should get back on track by appreciating the extra distance. Her second to Unequal Love at Ripon is the best form on offer, so she should take a bit of beating if she can stage a repeat of that performance in this lower grade race.
19:00 Chelmsford
Leg 5 Selections: Got No Dollars
The top-weight GOT NO DOLLARS gained his last success at this course off a 10 pounds higher mark and has finished third in his latest couple of starts over course-and-distance off this mark. He must be considered as a serious contender from a handy slot in stall 3 against rivals who are struggling for form at present.
19:30 Chelmsford
Leg 6 Selections: Crown Dreams, Confederation
I am happy to draw a line through the latest showing from CROWN DREAMS who could only finish fifth at Newcastle given his first couple of runner-up efforts read well. All of his form points to him ranking higher in the handicap. I’ll include CONFEDERATION who has several in-the-frame efforts off higher marks and enter’s calculations.
