That may be at the main expense of impressive Uttoxeter bumper scorer Cherie D'am, who is a key player on her timber debut. Dontyawantme is of interest on her first start for new connections, while Hey Brother and Wild Side Of Life cannot be ruled out either.

A progressive sort towards the end of last season, with two victories in his last three, EATON COLLINA has run well fresh before and this looks like a good opportunity on his return. C&D winner Gallic Geordie arrives with solid claims, while Cruz Control is a key player if coming here instead of his preferred engagement at Ascot. Last year's winner Ladronne is another to note, despite a 6lb higher mark this time around.

A high-class Listed affair in which slight preference is for KATEIRA, who ended last season with an excellent second in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle. Dan Skelton's progressive mare could be well suited by dropping back in trip, but it's the fact she is proven over further that may see her outstay the classy Luccia, who also made the frame in an Aintree Grade 1 when last seen. A taking winner of the Mares Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, with Luccia back in fourth, You Wear It Well is a key player, but must give weight all round.

THYME HILL had a mixed campaign over fences last season but still managed to make his mark at Grade 1 level at Kempton on Boxing Day. The nine-year-old is a proven high-class performer over hurdles and he could be hard to beat on his return to action here. Dashel Drasher only found one too good in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and is an obvious threat to the selection, while Ga Law is next best.

BRAVEMANSGAME won this race before an impressive victory in the King George last season and there is every chance he will repeat that success here. Paul Nicholls' eight-year-old was second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup later in the campaign and he sets a very high standard. When at his best, Ahoy Senor is capable of giving the selection plenty to think about and should not be discounted. Midnight River and Gentlemansgame are talented performers but they have plenty to find according to official ratings.

Windtothelightning enjoyed a profitable campaign last term, culminating in a good third at Cheltenham in April. She is likely to offer another bold bid, but raised 3lb in the ratings, she could be vulnerable to a better-treated rival such as ALVANIY. A rare runner for Willie Mullins at Wetherby, and off this opening handicap mark of 126, he will be difficult to hold out. Albert's Back is also worthy of respect.

Bali Body won comfortably off this mark at Sandown and should he return to the track in similar form, he would be tough to beat. That run was more than 700 days ago, though, whereas SNOWY EVENING ran arguably his best race to date when second on his fencing bow at Chepstow just last month and a 2lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to halt his progression. Not Sure heads the remainder.
