Monfrid will be popular here having gone close on debut but I did think he was a little one paced in the closing stages and there might be value in opposing. THE ICE PHOENIX catches the eye as any form involving Olympic Candle tends to be pretty red-hot. He was a good third at Ascot and that form has been strongly franked since with the winner following up with plenty in hand at Kempton and the runner-up Accumulate winning his next two in the style of a nice horse. Even the fifth Ten Bob Tony has won since so it all stacks up. He has been freshened up and if improving again will go close. Secret World is also respected but she might need a soft lead to be seen to best effect.

Panarea won nicely on debut and is feared but JEANNE D’ARC also ran a big race first time out and if she improves she should have a great chance of opening her account here. She went down just half a length at Wolverhampton and the winner Secret World had a run under her belt already and had it all go her own way making all the running.
She should be a lot sharper this time around and looks worth chancing with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. Shakeela left her debut run behind to win at Southwell last month and is another one that must enter calculations if improving on that again. Nakheel is the most interesting of the debutants so watch the market closely on that one.
