The money came for CLOVIS ISLAND on debut and he didn’t disappoint winning a bumper convincingly at this track on sole start back in March. He made all the running that day and always seemed to be in his comfort zone. He hit the line hard so stepping up in trip for his hurdles debut should suit and he looks one to keep on side for now.

Killybegs Jet Lady seems to be the only other pace in the race so I think Sean Quinlan will send him forward and if he gets into a nice rhythm he will be difficult to beat. Jimmy Chou Pecos Aa has experience on side and looks to be the most obvious danger to the selection.

Blue Point filly PERSIAN BLUE looks to have found a decent opening here. She left her debut run behind to go close at Nottingham and the winner has gone in again to frank the form. She is entitled to improve again on just her third start and should prove the answer under Cieren Fallon. Monks Dream struggled on debut but quickly improved to win easily over 6f at this track last month.

If he handles the drop back to the minimum here he could be the danger. Of the rest Circus Lion has showed potential on both starts and is another one likely to get competitive but the selection definitely has greater potential.
