I saw enough promise from that hurdles debut by PYFFO to suggest he can win this maiden hurdle. He lacked fluency but should sharpen up plenty for the run and this looks a really good opportunity for him to make the breakthrough. He had decent form in bumpers and I can see him being a cut above these if getting into a decent rhythm early. The Jukebox Man shaped with promise on debut under Rules and then improved again to win readily at this track back in April. He is bred to do well over obstacles so is the likely danger but obviously lacks experience which swayed my vote. Another Lord is another one with a future over jumps so note market support for that one.

Paul Nicholls seems to have turned a corner in the last week and JETRONIC must be of strong interest here. He won over fences in France and then made a highly encouraging start on these shores to finish runner-up at Cheltenham last month. He just jumped a bit novicey and if improving from that should be the one to beat in this with the tongue strap back on. In The Air was well backed at Huntingdon but bumped into General Medrano who is a promising horse. That form makes him the main danger but I wouldn’t have him favourite over the selection. Of the rest Western Zephyr is a decent yardstick and he won’t go down without a fight either so it should be an intriguing race.
