Even without Frodon winning it was a good weekend in the saddle for Bryony Frost and she has another good chance of a winner with SCENE ONE. This horse is completely unexposed and capped off last season with a convincing win at Warwick back in April.

He made all on that occasion justifying good support. Back up in trip for his chase debut we could see an even better performance and I’m keen to keep him on side against these. Ben Buie has won his last two and will be fit so has to be feared but a further 5lb rise definitely makes life tougher. Unspeakable looked to need the run last month and now chasing might improve enough to be the danger.

I’m going to side with one of the most unexposed horses in the field in the shape of MISTRESS LIGHT. This Mastercraftsman filly went down just half a length on handicap debut at Windsor. I thought she was given a fair bit to do but she ran on strongly at the finish and the line just came too soon. Stepping up to a mile and a half here with further improvement to come off the same mark she must go close.

Adam Farragher also claims 3lb off her back so everything points towards a big run. Starfighter is more than capable if things drop right so will be a danger along with Tiberio Force who was a very good second over C&D when last seen.
