16:15 Newcastle

Both Shaladar and Eldrickjones (best priced at 4/1) run here from 1lb “well in” at the weights but preference goes to the latter who won over this course and distance last time. The Roger Fell & Sean Murray trained four-year-old has form figures of 26121 at the course with his two victories coming since a wind operation in August. He won off a mark of 73 in September before finishing 2nd by ½ length off a mark of 78 on his next start. He ran well back on turf to finish 3rd at York on his next start before getting back to winning ways over this course and distance last time off a mark of 79.

The handicapper has raised Eldrickjones 6lbs for that 2 ¼ length victory but he instead runs here under a 5lb penalty meaning that he is 1lb “well in” at the weights. Johnny Peate once again claims 3lbs and he should prove hard to beat from Stall 6.

Eldrickjones - 1pt @ 4/1

19:00 Kempton

This looks a competitive 0-85 fillies’ handicap but preference goes to Urban Decay (best priced at 7/1) who has shown good form at the track. The Michael Bell trained filly outran odds of 22/1 to finish 2nd by ¾ length here on her debut before getting off the mark at Southwell on her next start. She struggled on her next three starts but bounced back to form with a course and distance success a month ago off a mark of 74.

Urban Decay has only been raised 4lbs for that 1 ½ length success that day and she should hold strong claims in this race back against her own sex with up to four places available.

Urban Decay - 0.5pts e/w @ 7/1

20:00 Kempton

The Grace Harris trained The Cola Kid (best priced at 10/3) has won his previous two starts at Kempton and should hold strong claims of completing a hat-trick of course wins in this race. The six-year-old won by a nose over 7f here a fortnight ago off a mark of 54 before winning by ½ length over 6f a week ago under a 5lb penalty.

The Cola Kid runs here again under a 5lb penalty off his previous revised mark of 56 so he is 1lb “well in” at the weights in this race. He is still well handicapped off this mark of 61 on his previous rating (was rated as high as 73 in the past) and he should hold strong claims despite a wider draw today.

The Cola Kid - 1pt @ 10/3
