Her Newcastle third may be the best form on offer and first-time blinkers may bring her back to that level.

ROCHELLE failed to justify favouritism on her debut over 7f at Newmarket in September but still shaped with plenty of promise in third and should have learned plenty from that experience. Market support for either of those two newcomers would be very interesting, especially the latter whose dam was Listed-placed and won at this venue.

She travelled well throughout that day so the drop back in trip should not be an issue. The daughter of Camacho struck over C&D in June and could be the one to beat. G'daay completes the shortlist.

Poetic Jack put in a solid effort to hit the frame over C&D last month and he has to be respected off the same mark. However, preference is for BRAZEN ARROW, who was far from disgraced in third over C&D last week and is now competing off a 1lb lower rating. The five-year-old looks ready to strike, while Little Red Dancer was third in a bunched finish at Newcastle recently and is another to note.

This looks like an open contest, so marginal preference is for ADACE, who finished a close-up third over a mile here earlier in the month and she has been left on the same mark. The daughter of Adaay ought to go very close. Pontius failed to justify favouritism over C&D in August, but still put in a pleasing display to hit the frame and has to be considered. Outreach and Safe Passage are others to watch out for.

In an open event, a chance can be taken on TYGER BAY. Conrad Allen's charge, who is now 8lb below his last winning mark, was not disgraced in a sprint series qualifier at Kempton last month and must hold solid claims on that form. The unexposed Maxzeno, who is distantly related to smart sprinter Danzeno, ought to prove better than his current mark and must enter calculations. Others to note include Habooba and Impeach.

The vote goes to DARLO PRIDE, who has been a model of consistency in recent starts. The son of Outstrip, a course winner on his penultimate outing, is able to compete off an unchanged mark having hit the woodwork at Lingfield last time, and the first-time visor could bring about further improvement. Q Twenty Boy and Lion Ring also arrive in good form and are taken seriously.
