Steve Ryder has three tips for Monday's horse racing.
14:25 Exeter
The favourite Alfie’s Princess beat the reopposing Endless Supply (best priced at 4/1) at Chepstow a month ago but the latter looks to hold a good chance of reversing that form in receipt of 7lbs.
The Fergal O’Brien trained five-year-old finished behind the well regarded Gidleigh Park in a bumper in March before finishing 2nd behind Little Miss Dante (who won easily by 5 lengths on her hurdling debut this month) in a Southwell bumper in April.
Endless Supply was still travelling well on her hurdling debut last time but made a bad mistake at the second last hurdle before staying on in eyecatching fashion to finish 3rd beaten 7½ lengths. In receipt of 7lbs, she should get a lot closer than last time and looks the biggest danger to the selection.
15:00 Exeter
Irish raider Law Ella has to be respected for Gavin Cromwell but preference instead goes to Arclight (best priced at 5/1) who has an impressive winner on her chasing debut at Kempton a month ago.
The Nicky Henderson trained four-year-old had won her first two hurdling starts last season before finishing 2nd in a listed fillies’ juvenile hurdle at Doncaster.
She disappointed on her two starts in handicaps in April but looked a different proposition on her chasing debut at Kempton on her reappearance. Arclight jumped superbly that day until a mistake at the final fence and she is deserving of a new rating of 124. She gets the age allowance for being a four-year-old and she can hopefully make it 2/2 over fences.
18:30 Kempton
This looks a competitive 0-105 handicap but preference goes to Symbol Of Light (best priced at 9/1) who has a brilliant record on the AW. The four-year-old won her first three AW starts when trained by Charlie Appleby before finishing a neck 4th at Newcastle on his stable debut for Julie Camacho off a mark of 97.
Symbol Of Light was disappointing at Doncaster on soft ground in September but this switch back to the AW will suit and he still looks competitively handicapped off a mark of 97. Rossa Ryan retains the ride and he should run well off the same mark.
