Leg 1 Selections: Big Hear Hug, Further Measure, Miss Dolly Rocker
BIG BEAR HUG is generally a consistent filly and was winning for the second time this year when producing a career-best performance at Newmarket 17 days ago. She ran well in her only previous start here when third (split higher-rated horses) and must be considered a major player.
FURTHER MEASURE has placed multiple times on the all-weather surface from higher marks, so he should go well from a career-low mark. MISS DOLLY ROCKER has not finished outside the frame in nine starts and has hit the frame in all three starts at this course, so she is another to consider.

Leg 2 Selections: I Love Paris, Rich Harry
I LOVE PARIS has shown promise in all three starts to date, placing in two of those races, and she makes her handicap debut off a fair mark, with Oisin Murphy booked to ride. Ed Walker’s filly should be thereabouts in a good slot in stall 2.
RICH HARRY ran well when second here two starts ago (form that has worked out well) before replicating that effort with a third at Newcastle. He looks competitive off a tiny weight with cheekpieces applied for the first time.

Leg 3 Selections: Sommelier
It is hard to oppose SOMMELIER, who was extremely impressive at Chelmsford last time, confirming the promise of his debut fourth to return an easy winner by more than three lengths. This looks no harder, so he should prove capable of defying his penalty, with the potential to rank higher at some stage.

Leg 4 Selections: Ezra Cee, Character Testing
EZRA CEE has shaped with promise in hitting the frame in both starts to date and only found one too good here last time, who has boosted the form by running well in defeat since. He could open his account under Oisin Murphy, who has a strong book of rides.
CHARACTER TESTING has filled the runner-up spot in both starts, including when beaten just a short-head over C&D on debut. With David Egan booked to ride, Tom Clover’s charge has improvement to come and also goes on the shortlist.

Leg 5 Selections: Hafeet Alain, Symbol Of Light
This is by far the most competitive race on the card, in which a case can be made for nearly all of the nine runners.
However, HAFEET ALAIN produced a career-best performance when winning at York last time and has only been raised 3Ib which seems fair. He also has a lot of form on the all-weather, so the seven-year-old is heavily respected.
SYMBOL OF LIGHT has won three of his four starts on the all-weather, and a line can be drawn through his latest effort at Doncaster. He ran a lovely race when he finished fourth at Newcastle in his comeback run in June after a layoff and has a good chance.

Leg 6 Selections: Perseus Way, Andaleep
PERSEUS WAY did really well when previously trained by Gary Moore and ran a good race returned with Owen Burrows when second over C&D seven weeks ago. He looks very well-treated off 81, which is only a pound higher mark, and must enter calculations now he goes up in distance.
ANDALEEP turned in a conspicuous effort when staying on strongly to take second here last time and is markedly stepped up in trip. His last win came off a 3Ib higher mark, so if he does stay the extra yardage, this seven-year-old might be able to overcome a bad draw and make a serious impact.
