This should be a good race between Oak Creek and MINELLA BLUEWAY and it is the latter I’m keen to chance. He won a point in good style on debut and then was only denied a neck on his second start. I thought he showed more than enough on debut under Rules when third to the promising Heros De Romay at Chepstow. He should come on plenty for that and this looks a good opening for him. Oak Creek has run well on both starts to date and the form of his second at Ludlow has substance so he is the danger. Of the rest Itseemslikeit should have a nice future but might do better for the experience here.

I was with CHERIE D’AM on her hurdles debut at Wetherby at the start of the month and she certainly didn’t disappoint winning impressively by 5 lengths. She won going away at the line and given her size and scope I’m expecting plenty of improvement now. This is tougher but she looks a nice prospect for the season ahead and I think she can remain unbeaten with this test sure to suit. Push The Button showed a good attitude to win a bumper at Bangor and then made a winning start over hurdles at Worcester. That was a good effort at Cheltenham last month and with more to come he is the obvious danger.
