Back over hurdles LONGHOUSE POET is a fascinating contender here. I know he carries top-weight but that is with good reason and I can see the drop back to 3 miles suiting. He is a very useful horse on a going day and looks good value in this. Stuzzikini clocked a career best to win easily at Clonmel and if handling a 9lb rise might be able to run well. This is tougher though and with that extra weight he might struggle to back up such a big performance. The Shunter is the one I actually fear more as back over hurdles and up in trip are positives so I think he’ll run well. Of the rest Popova shouldn’t be ruled out either but she needs to get back to her best.
