Steve Ryder is back with two tips for today's action.
13:35 Kelso
SECRET SECRET (best priced at 11/4) was having a first start for a sixth new stable when winning at Cartmel for Jimmy Moffatt in August and he has shown good form since. The seven-year-old won by 2 ¼ lengths on his stable debut off a mark of 77 before finishing 5th on his next start a month ago at the same track.
Secret Secret bounced back to form last time winning by 14 lengths over this course and distance off a mark of 83 and he is deserving of an 11lb rise from the handicapper. He remains in a Class 5 0-100 handicap here and should prove hard to beat if in the same form.
14:45 Kelso
Hopefully all eight runners remain in the race as FIRTH OF FORTH (best priced at 9/1) looks to hold strong each way claims. The Rose Dobbin trained seven-year-old finished 2nd in a maiden hurdle over this course and distance last year before finishing runner-up again over this course and distance in May off a mark of 105.
Firth Of Forth disappointed on his reappearance at Musselburgh when well beaten off a mark of 106 but the handicapper has dropped him 3lbs down to a mark of 103. He now returns to Kelso over a course and distance he has good form at and he should run well with connections fitting first time cheekpieces.
