Miltiades was third in that contest and Henry Daly's gelding could get closer to the selection here as that was his first start for 172 days. Cloudy Wednesday edges out Barrakhov to be best of the rest.

Ottoline will need to improve to score but she merits consideration.

C&D winner Colonial Empire returned to form with a solid third at Musselburgh and the six-year-old is feared most, with Risk D'Argent likely to be in the shake-up too if he turns up after Saturday's intended Bangor engagement.

BALLYCAMUS lost little in defeat when finding only Benign Dictator too strong at Warwick last month. A 2lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from opening his account at the first attempt over fences. Special Acceptance should put his experience in this discipline to good effect and is a viable alternative, while it's too early to write off the lightly-raced Inflexible.

ANNIE DAY was given a fine ride when landing the spoils on her reappearance at Warwick last month and Ben Case's mare looks more than capable of completing a double off 6lb higher in the ratings. Harkangel displayed enough ability with her fourth-placed finish at Sedgefield to suggest that she can get involved at this level. Despite being just out of the handicap, Sindabella lurks on an attractive mark and is also worth a second look.
