Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Tuesday's action at Wolverhampton and yesterday's Placepot results from Wolverhampton.

Leg 1 Selections: Sherdil, Bernie The Bear
SHERDIL looked a touch unlucky when he ran a narrow second over C&D last time after being denied a clear run, and he must be a big player with a repeat showing despite a 2Ib rise. BERNIE THE BEAR has gained two wins on the Tapeta surface since the summer and is far more consistent than most of these. He was a bit below form last time but still ran well enough and could pose another threat.

Leg 2 Selections: Upper Hand, Hand Jive
Ryan Sexton is a jockey in good form at present, and he will ride UPPER HAND, who has placed in two of his last three starts and shaped better than the beaten result indicated last time. He is of interest back over this distance, while HAND JIVE is likely to be ridden positively under Jason Hart. His early pace should prove pivotal in tackling this trip for the first time since his debut.

Leg 3 Selections: Resilience, Let’s Go Hugo
RESILIENCE was only a couple of lengths behind LET’S GO HUGO when the pair finished fourth and first over C&D in October. The former won over track and trip in February last year off a 13Ib higher mark, so he is evidently well-treated and can be shortlisted. As for the latter, he’s high on reliability and should be able to continue his good run of form. This is, however, a really competitive race.

Leg 4 Selections: Galloping On, Superb Force
Clive Cox has hit a really good run of form recently, and GALLOPING ON, who has shaped with promise in both starts to date, including when second over C&D last time, must be respected. An interesting debutant, though, is SUPERB FORCE, who makes plenty of appeal on paper. He is bred to be quite classy, given that he's related to top-tier winners, so any market support would bode well for his chances.

Leg 5 Selections: Sceptic, Talis Evolvere
The top-weight SCEPTIC was down the field when last seen but has since joined Ian Williams, a trainer who has enjoyed success with new recruits and could outclass these. He won his only previous start on the all-weather and is 1Ib lower than when third at Newmarket, which was a deeper race. The second has won since off a mark of 93, so he’s a likely contender on the back of a wind op. TALIS EVOLVERE ran a solid race when second at this course just under a fortnight ago and should be suited to the trip.

Leg 6 Selections: Waleyfa, Ibiza Rocks
WALEYFA is likely to derive from the potential strong pace and has won three times this year, including over C&D in May. He is weighted to reverse the latest form with Harbour Vision, with an apprentice taking off an additional 7Ib. IBIZA ROCKS is his connections' only runner on the card, and while he has yet to win a handicap of any sort, he’s continued to slide in the weights and is feared most in a winnable race.
