With just a handful of rivals to beat LADY GWEN looks to have found a great opportunity to complete the hat-trick. She won in good style at Taunton and then followed up again with a bit in hand over C&D last month. She showed a good attitude under pressure and with Kai Lenihan claiming 8lb she has plenty going for her once more. Moonlight Glory impressed winning easily at Newcastle last time but a 7lb rise seems harsh enough as it did look a weak enough contest. Very Excellent was a good second when last seen but has been off since although has won fresh before so that might not necessarily be a negative.

I know he only beat two rivals at Southwell last time and the main danger had to walk onto the ambulance after but STRATTON OAKMONT was still quite impressive. He can definitely jump slicker than that and off the same mark with further fitness added is expected to take a lot of beating. Ben Godfrey couldn’t claim last time as it was a conditional race but takes a handy 3lb off here and clearly has a good partnership with the horse. The danger is likely Lets Do This who funnily enough is partnered by Oisin Murphy who tries his hand over Jumps. He could end up attracting a fair bit of support so my selection might go off bigger than he should.
