Market support for Friendly Soul would be significant but FAIR POINT (best priced at 2/1) sets a good standard from his debut effort at Newmarket a month ago. The Ralph Beckett trained filly was sent off 2/1 favourite that day and she ran well to finish 3rd beaten only 1 ¾ lengths.

Fair Point ran green early on in the race before making headway to lead 1f out. She was headed inside the final furlong before being carried left so her effort can be upgraded. She steps up in trip from 7f to a mile which should suit on breeding and she is expected to get off the mark at the second attempt.

Both Twirling and THROUBI (best priced at 7/4) are closely matched at the weights with preference going to the latter who was a huge eyecatcher over this course and distance last time. The James Fanshawe trained three-year-old ran with credit at both Newmarket and Doncaster on turf before finishing 5th at Kempton last time on her return from 381 days off the track.

Throubi travelled strongly in rear that day before having to wait for a gap 2f out. She made good headway late on to finish a never nearer 5th and that effort can be upgraded. She finished only 2 ¾ lengths behind Twirling that day and I expect her to be able to reverse that form with a clear run.
