Leg 1 Selections: Letaba, Kentucky Kingdom

LETABA remains a maiden after 12 starts, but two of his best performances have come at this course, and he was beaten by just a neck when second over C&D in his penultimate start. He must have a good chance with a repeat showing under the in-form Rossa Ryan. He is also drawn well in stall 1. KENTUCKY KINGDOM is in the form of his life, winning three of his last four starts, and could follow up on his latest C&D success with only a 2Ib higher mark.

Leg 2 Selections: On The Cards

ON THE CARDS could be the answer to the second race. Marcus Tregoning’s only runner on the card took a major step forward from his debut seventh to only be touched off by a neck at Lingfield next time. The winner is rated in the high 70s, so there’s a strong chance this three-year-old could be ahead of his mark when he goes handicapping at some stage. He should be suited to the step-up in distance, and he is handed the vote.

Leg 3 Selections: King’s Code, Law Supreme

I am drawn to the profile of KING’S CODE ahead of race three, who ran very well from an unpromising position to take fourth at Wolverhampton off a 1Ib higher mark last time and should be suited to the race. Rossa Ryan, who won on him in October, is reunited with David Evans charge. LAW SUPREME had some decent form in the book when trained in France and could be ready to make an impact on his debut for Ian Williams despite a wide draw.

Leg 4 Selections: Oliver Show, Band Of Steel

OLIVER SHOW lacks a recent run, but a repeat of either of his last two placed efforts would be enough to see him heavily competitive. He split two horses rated 90 and 96 when last seen, with the second, The Gatekeeper, winning the Balmoral when last seen. George Boughey’s top-weight has excellent credentials on the back of wind surgery. BAND OF STEEL was unfortunate to not finish a little closer here last time and should again be on the premises.

Leg 5 Selections: Ravenglass, Once Adaay

RAVENGLASS has reached the frame in four of his seven starts on the all-weather and only found one too good in a stronger race here two starts back. He wasn’t in the same form at Wolverhampton when last seen, but is back down to a joint-career low mark. ONCE ADAAY came within a neck of success at Wolverhampton last time and could go one better, granted normal improvement.

Leg 6 Selections: Reputation, Legende d’Art

REPUTATION always needs luck in running, given that he likes to be held up and come through with a late dash, but this will be the first time he will be venturing into a class 6 in his career, and he’s 13Ib below his last winning mark; therefore, at a huge price, he’s dangerous to rule out. LEGENDE D’ART has a prolific record at this venue, and this dual C&D winner must be a serious player eased in grade.
