I’m looking forward to seeing BLIZZARD OF OZ jump a hurdle and he may well be good enough to make a winning start here. He impressed winning a bumper at Cork and then chased home Florida Dreams at Aintree. He clearly has a decent engine and with more to come now jumping obstacles he is likely to be very popular under Paul Townend. Rainbow Trail impressed winning a bumper at Clonmel and that is pretty solid form so if he improves again now sent hurdling could be the danger. Killaney King is well bred and this point winner is another one expected to take a hand in a race that could work out notably well going forward.

Donald McCain remains in great form and GRAIN D’OUDAIRIES should prove hard to beat here. This son of Kapgarde made an impressive start over hurdles winning by 7 lengths at Bangor over a year ago. He failed to fire at Carlisle next time but was back to form on reappearance going down just a neck to Russian Virtue and improved again to beat a good yardstick in Sizing Pottsie at Uttoxeter last month. He has more to come and looks to have found a good opportunity to follow up. The danger is possibly Port Or Starboard who ran well behind El Jefe at Sedgefield and that horse has boosted the form winning again since.
