After a couple of promising runs it was good to see LIBOR LAD open his account at Uttoxeter last month. He was heavily backed on that occasion and stayed on strongly having been confidently ridden off the pace. He is 6lb higher here but now he knows how to win coupled with this slight drop back in trip I think he can follow up.
Probably at the main expense of Daany who improved on recent efforts to finish a good second at Wincanton last month. Back up in trip if he can build on that he should run well. Tidal Storm has been frustrating since sent hurdling but first-time cheekpieces could help.

This could turn out to be a straight shootout between the top pair in the betting and I’m keen to side with THE EDGAR WALLACE for Kim Bailey. This horse was back to his best on reappearance winning with plenty in hand at Wetherby last month. #
He jumped the last really well and was firmly on top at the finish. Mylesfromwicklow also won well last time beating the same horse in William Cody by more a less the same distance so he looks the danger from a 6lb higher mark. There clearly isn’t much between them but I like the attitude the selection showed and that should serve him well in this. Regal Blue is another one to note but he has a bit to prove now chasing.
