With 2 wins from 3 starts since sent chasing SAGEBURG COUNTY looks one to keep on side. He hammered an in-form rival in the shape of Tom Creen at Southwell last month to win by 8 lengths and a 7lb rise might not be enough to stop him. He travelled ominously well throughout that contest suggesting he could be a very well handicapped horse and with that Warwick blip a distant memory he looks a young chaser with a fair bit of potential now.

Imac Wood has also won 2 of his last 3 and could be the danger but this is definitely stronger company he’ll be facing. At a bigger price Maclaine still has potential but that Huntingdon run on chase debut was very disappointing and he might need more time and experience.

It was great to see DODDIETHEGREAT defy such a mammoth absence to win at Ascot last month. He warmed to the task as the race went on and eventually came there going strongly before staying on well. He will need to improve again now handicapping but is entitled to strip a lot fitter for the run and could easily rate a lot higher in time.

I can see him being suited by this track and connections will be hopeful he can remain unbeaten before going on to better things. Dan Skelton saddles Williethebuilder and while he was impressive at Uttoxeter he did weaken up the hill here when last seen back in October. He still has potential but needs to get back on track. Panjari might be a greater threat as he looks on an upward curve.
